Dickinson, ND- The Badlands Big Sticks got their revenge on the Mankato MoonDogs and beat them by a score of 11-2.
The Sticks knocked around starting pitcher Elias Hachem from the get go. Luke Shannahan blasted a 3-run homer to start the 5-run 1st inning. He walked in both Cole Tabor and Tanner Sears for the other 2 runs. Tabor followed up in the 2nd inning with a RBI single while Cam Yuran batted in a run on a groundout. The Sticks scored 3 more run in the 4th with a Bo Tabola groundout and a Tyler Tobey single. Tabor ended his stellar offensive performance with a solo homer. He ended his night going 3-5 with 2 hits, 2 RBIs, and 3 runs.
The MoonDogs were completely shut out of this game till the 9th inning. They would only record 6 hits thanks to a career performance from Braxton Greenburg. In his last start as a Big Sticks, he went a full 7 innings recording 6 strikeouts, and only giving up 4 hits. The 9th inning was a struggle for Sticks pitcher Patch Lyman. He let up the 2 runs in the 9th inning on a Brody Delamielleure single to right field. Lyman finished out the night with 2 hit batters, 2 walks, and 1 hit.
The Sticks will play their last game of this home series against the MoonDogs tomorrow at 6:35 MT.
