Dickinson, ND- The Badlands Big Sticks lost 4 of their last 6 games over the past week.

The MoonDogs jumped out to an early lead in the 5th after a string of hits and errors on the Sticks. Evan Appelwick added another homer on the season but with 5 errors in the game the Sticks did not come back. They headed up to Minot for 2 games. The Sticks lost a close one 4-3 after leading for most of the game. Adam Haber had himself a night with 3 hits and 2 RBIs. However, a Xavier Esquer solo homer and a 2RBI double from Jack Matousek gave the Tots the win. Game 2 at Minot was a high-scoring affair that the Sticks came out on the wrong side of. Three of the Hot Tots had 3 hits games and all but 1 batter in the lineup recorded at least 1 RBI. Cole Tabor’s 3 hit, 4 RBI performance could not push the Sticks over the edge.

The Sticks traveled back home for a blowout win against Bismarck in Coach Price’s final game. The key to their 18-5 victory was the 11 runs that were scored in the first inning. The Sticks hopped on I-94 the next day to pay the Larks a visit at their place. Tanner Sears and Tyler Tobey lead the Sticks to a 7-2 victory with a 4 hits and 3 RBI performances respectively. Mason Lunzman shoved and pitched a full 7 innings, striking out 6 and only giving up 3 hits and 3 walks. Finally, the Sticks traveled up to St. Cloud for a 11-1 blowout loss to the Rox. Hunter Day, Kevin Figueredo, and Sam Reed combined for 11 strikeouts and completely baffled the Sticks batters.

The Sticks will stay in St. Cloud for another game against the Rox at 6:35 CT.
