Dickinson, ND- The Big Sticks gave up 3 home runs tonight in a blowout 12-3 loss.

The home run fest for the Stingers started in the first with an Andrew Sojka solo shot off the light pole. The Sticks matched that with a Luke Shannahan sac fly. From the 2nd inning on, it was all about the Stingers. Nico Senese knocked in a run on a single to right. Sojka nabbed himself another RBI on the night with a groundout to 2nd base. The Sticks were shut out for 6 straight innings thanks to a fantastic outing from Will Whelan. He shoved for 7 straight innings, striking out 8 batters and only giving up 2 hits.

The Stingers continued to pile the runs in the 7th with a second home run from Sojka for 2 runs. The Sticks tried to get some momentum in the 8th on a Cole Tabor RBI single. Zach Selfon brought the game within 5 on a sac fly. The Sticks did not get another chance to score because the Stingers scored 4 runs in the 9th. Brett Blair hit a solo shot and Liam Bushey and Daniel Briones both had RBI groundouts.

The Sticks will be facing the Mankato MoonDogs tomorrow at 6:35.
