The Bombers, always with a knack for the dramatic, pulled off another late-game win, this time stealing a 3-2 win from the Green Bay Bullfrogs in the bottom of the ninth.

Both teams scored runs in the third: Green Bay’s Jonathan Walsh hit a solo homer to take the lead, but the Bomb Squad battled back immediately after, with Rhett Goodmiller slugging an RBI triple and Jordan Dean hitting an RBI single to take the lead back. Scoreless until the eighth, Jacob May tied the game for the Bullfrogs on a single, scoring Walsh from third. But in the home half, with Ryne Otis on third base, pitcher A.J. Gaura threw a fastball in the dirt that skipped by catcher Paul Hoeneke allowing Otis to cross for the 3-2 win.

Alex Loftin had a great rebound start, throwing five innings of one-run baseball, while Caleb Vincent was again reliable in relief, and Kristian Calibuso picked up his fourth win.

The two-gamer concludes Thursday night at C.O. Brown with the season series tied at 3-3.
