BATTLE CREEK, MI — The Battle Creek Battle Jacks have lost their fourth consecutive game on Tuesday, getting swept by the Kenosha Kingfish, after a long day of baseball where they completed Monday night’s game moments before first pitch on Tuesday.

The Kingfish kept the momentum of the first game on Tuesday, taking an early 1-0 lead as Jackson Brewer’s RBI single opened the scoring.

Kenosha added two more runs to their total in the second inning, as Jackson Brewer’s second RBI of the contest, along with Brendan Fritch’s RBI, gave the Kingfish a 2-0 lead earlier in the game at MCCU Field.

Poor defence from the Kingfish allowed the Battle Jacks to cut the lead in half through three innings of play.

The Kingfish scored five runs in the third inning to extend to seven, making it an 8-1 lead.

The Battle Jacks broke the no-hitter and scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth, highlighted by Brady LaViolette, Payton Bookwalter, Brendan Thompson, and Thomas Cooper’s RBI, to make it an 8-6 lead.

Kenosha added an insurance run in the seventh inning as CJ Deckinga’s single to left field scored Ethan Sanchez to make it a 9-6 game.

The Battle Jacks ended the night with six hits, while committing three errors.
