Mankato MoonDogs starting pitcher Tyler Niederklein (Nebraska) took a perfect game into the fifth inning as he out dueled all-star Joey Novak (Harvard) in Mankato’s 1-0 victory at Duluth on Sunday. Niederklein had arguably his best outing of the summer, going 7 1/3 strong innings on the mound, allowing no runs on four hits, while striking out six. He now has a 4-1 record and a 2.72 ERA.
