Kenosha, Wis. — The Kenosha Kingfish are excited to release their full promotional schedule for the 2014 season. The schedule is jam packed with amazing fireworks shows, one-of-a-kind bobblehead giveaways, unique entertainment acts, and big name celebrities. As promised, the Kingfish will provide affordable, family oriented entertainment and a ballpark experience unlike any other.

Opening Week

The Kingfish start off their season on the road for four games and return to historic Simmons Field for opening night on Saturday, May 31st. The Kingfish open the first game at renovated Simmons Field with an inaugural season commemorative banner giveaway, presented by Miller Lite and Lynch Chevrolet. Kenosha News Fireworks will follow the game. Sunday, June 1st the Kingfish take on the Mankato MoonDogs and will feature a bobblehead giveaway of their mascot, King Elvis. Wiener Dog races will keep fans entertained in-between the innings on Hot Dog Appreciation night, on Monday, June 2nd. The Kingfish wrap up the opening home stand with an appearance by the Russian Bar Trio, presented by Lynch Chevrolet on Tuesday, June 3rd.

Bobbleheads

In addition to the King Elvis the First bobblehead giveaway on Sunday, June 1st, three other bobbleheads will be featured throughout the season. Public Safety Appreciation Day will take place on Sunday, June 29th with an Officer Elvis bobblehead giveaway. On Wednesday, July 2nd the Kingfish will give away an Elvis the King, Elvis impersonator bobblehead on Tribute to Elvis Presley night. The 2014 bobblehead series comes to a close on Thursday, July 24th with the Lee Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric Duffy Dyer bobblehead. 

Fireworks

The Kingfish will feature six post-game fireworks shows that will light up the Kenosha sky and amaze all fans in attendance. These shows will take place after all Saturday night home games including May 31st, June 21st, June 28th, July 19th and August 9th. The Kingfish will celebrate the upcoming Independence Day weekend with a post-game fireworks show of their own on Thursday, July 3rd.

Celebrity Appearances

WWE Hall of Famer Hacksaw Jim Duggan will be in attendance on Thursday, June 19th as part of Wrestling Night presented by Smith and Forge. Don’t miss Lynch Chevrolet Duck Dynasty Night on Wednesday, August 6th featuring Mountain Man from the hit TV show. Fans will have the chance to meet MLB Hall of Famer Fergie Jenkins at Simmons Field on Sunday, June 29th

Entertainment Acts

The Human Cannonball, Dave “The Bullet” Smith, will make his return to historic Simmons Field and will once again fly nearly 200 feet across the field on Monday, June 30th following the game.  Whiplash the Dog Riding Cowboy Monkey will show his stuff post-game on Bark in the Park Night, Sunday, July 6th. The family friendly dancing inflatables of the ZOOperstars will appear two times during the inaugural season on June 20th and July 25th. The acrobats of the Russian Bar Trio will fly through the air on June 3rd, and the drumming group, Bucket Ruckus, will wow fans on Fan Appreciation Night, Sunday, August 10th. Fans can also enjoy a petting zoo at the ballpark on Sunday, July 20th game. 

The Kingfish will host their season opener against the Mankato MoonDogs on Saturday, May 31st at 6:05 pm at Kenosha’s historic Simmons Field. Single-game tickets will go on sale April 26th at 9:00 am.
