Kenosha, Wis. – Kenosha Kingfish fans are invited to Simmons Field on Saturday, May 10 to swing for FREE a 7-game pack, sample the 7-game pack menu items and enjoy their first taste of the new Sweet Treat Snack Shops.

Starting at 11:00 am, 7-game pack holders and prospective 7-game pack buyers will be invited onto the field for their chance to win a FREE 7-game pack. Kingfish owner Conor Caloia and General Manager Jake McGhee will be throwing batting practice and each fan will get three swings to hit one out of the ballpark. Any fan that successfully hits a home run will receive a FREE 7-game pack for the inaugural 2014 season. Bats and helmets will be provided but fans are welcome to bring their own equipment to the event. The Kingfish are not liable if you throw your back out or suffer any other injuries while swinging for the fences. Don’t miss your chance to set foot onto historic Simmons Field and try and hit one out off of the Kingfish staff.

“The last game I pitched competitively, I gave up three home runs and 10 runs in a little more than two innings,” Caloia said. “If I was a betting man, I would be betting on our fans.”

“I want everyone to know that if I throw a ball and I hit you, it is not because I don’t like, it is because my aim could be better,” McGhee said. “The fans should know in advance that I truly like all of them and there should be no hard feelings if a ball goes at them rather than over the plate. If you have a batting helmet, you might want to dust that off as well.”

In addition to the on-field fun, 7-game pack holders are invited to complimentary samples of the ballpark food menu items that are offered with the all-you-can-eat 7-game pack.

Families are also invited to Simmons Field on Saturday, May 10 for the unveiling of the Sweet Treat Snack Shops located behind home plate. The Kingfish will feature both a Gilles Custard Hut featuring hand dipped custard and a cotton candy stand at all 36 home games. All guests in attendance on May 10 will receive a free scoop of Gilles frozen custard or a bag of cotton candy at the afternoon event. The Flying Elvi Bounceland bounce house and Kingfish Speed Pitch will be up and running for families to try out for the first time.

The Kingfish will host their season opener against the Mankato MoonDogs on Saturday, May 31st at 6:05 pm at Kenosha’s Historic Simmons Field and single-game tickets are on sale now.
