The Kenosha Kingfish will unveil their 2014 inaugural season jerseys to the public on Saturday, May 17. The long-awaited unveiling of both the Kingfish home and road jerseys will take place at Lynch Chevrolet (10901 75th St.) in Kenosha from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Kingfish staff members have spent countless hours finalizing the design for the home jersey and Kingfish General Manager, Jake McGhee is excited about the final product. “We wanted something that was completely unique and feel we have that in our home jersey,” McGhee said. “Although Simmons Field has undergone $1.3 million in renovations, our stadium has preserved its historic feel. We are excited that our new home jerseys will match that vintage look.”

Kingfish fans saw a preview of the road jersey design during the jersey creation contest that took place earlier this spring. Over 100 students in the greater Kenosha area submitted designs for the competition. The winner of this contest was Benjamin Hufendick from St. Joseph Catholic Academy, whose design inspired the look of the 2014 Kingfish road jersey. Not only will this jersey be worn for all 36 away games, but the Kingfish will also feature this jersey as an alternate for several home games this summer.

This event will take place from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm with the unveiling of the jerseys taking place at 1:00 pm. Free ballpark food, soda, and water will be provided to all guests in attendance.
