The Kenosha Kingfish have announced the signing of freshman pitcher Dustin Hagy from State College of Florida and redshirt freshman pitcher Callahan Brown out of UConn.

Hagy, a 6’6”, 218-pound native of Deland, Florida, was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 31st round of the 2013 MLB Amateur Draft. During his freshman campaign, Hagy has made 12 starts and has registered 5 wins and 68 strikeouts in 71.1 innings pitched. The right-hander has averaged nearly 6 innings pitched per start and has kept opponents in check with a 2.40 ERA.

Brown, a 6’4”, 193-pound right-handed pitcher out of Jupiter, Florida will join the Kingfish after his first year at the University of Connecticut.  Brown transferred to UConn from Mississippi State and is enjoying success with a 2.25 ERA in just over 12 innings pitched. Brown starred at Jupiter High School and was named honorable mention for the 2012 Rawlings All-Florida Region. The redshirt freshman pitcher plans to major in Business Administration while attending UConn.
