Kingfish Look For Win To End Home Stand

The Kingfish take on the Madison Mallards for game two of the series and look to end their four game home stand with a win. The first pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. at historic Simmons Field with gates opening at 6:05 p.m.

The Mallards took the first game of the series with a score of 17-5. The Kingfish could not put an end to the hitting of the Mallards or their troubles with errors. The Mallards put up eight of the runs in the eighth with fourteen batters faced. The Kingfish have had 16 errors in their first three home games.

On the mound for the Kingfish is Connor Kelly from Chandler Gilbert Community College. Kelly, in his first summer in the Northwoods League, pitched the second game of the season against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. Kelly pitched five innings, gave up two runs, had four strikeouts on the night and got the win. To get the win tonight, Kelly looks to get ahead on the count and keep the Mallards off the bases.

Tonight ends the home stand for the Kingfish. They travel to Madison to take on the Mallards at Warner Park and then over to La Crosse to face the Loggers. The Kenosha will be back in town on June 8th for two games against the Kalamazoo Growlers.

The Kingfish office is located at 7817 Sheridan Road and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. For more information on 7-game packs, season or group tickets, please log on to kingfishbaseball.com or call 262.653.0900.
