Kenosha, Wis – The Kingfish beat the Bullfrogs last night in a 4-3 contest thanks to active hitting and clutch pitching. The Kingfish go into tonight’s game with hopes of a series sweep.

Left fielder Alex Dunlap, in his second game as a Kingfish, and Steven Sensley both went 2-4 on the night. Coley Thompkins entered the game in the seventh and was able to shut down the Bullfrogs in three innings of work to preserve the Kingfish lead and get the win.

The Kingfish now sit at 12-11 and are in fifth place in the division, trailing the fourth place Mallards by two. King Elvis’ crew are 7-3 in their last ten and have hopes of continuing the winning trend.

Dillon Mazzoccoli will start things off for the Kingfish. In his last start, Mazzoccoli pitched five impressive innings with four strikeouts and only one hit against the St. Cloud Rox. He goes into tonight with an ERA of 2.89, having allowed just two extra base hits all season.

Starting for the Bullfrogs is Ethan Rosebeck. In his last outing Rosebeck gave up five hits and three runs in four innings of work. The Kingfish look to take advantage of his 5.50 ERA and 1-2 record.
