Kenosha, Wi – The Kingfish fell to the Battle Creek Bombers last night by a score of 7-4 and end their four game road trip with a record of 1-3. King Elvis’s crew returns to historic Simmons Field and look to turn the momentum around and get back to above .500.  First pitch is slated for 6:05 p.m. with special guest Ozzie Guillen in attendance and post-game fireworks.

Doing his part on the mound tonight is righty Zach Morgenstern.  In his last start, Morgenstern went four and one thirds inning and was two outs short of getting the win against the Battle Creek Bombers. He has 14 strikeouts on the year and looks to lock down the Kalamazoo Growlers.

The Growlers have struggled in their last ten games with a record of 3-7. They currently sit in second to last in the division.

The last home stand for the Kingfish showed how baseball is done right, with the team showing active hitting, impressive defense and controlled pitching. Pat Porter has been unstoppable for the team, leading with a .327 batting average and sitting in the top spot for the league with 33 RBI. Porter was named Tuesday night’s Player of the Night, his second time this season.

Tonight’s game will have special guest Ozzie Guillen and the Kingfish players will wear retro Kenosha Comets jerseys in the Gateway Technical College Turn Back The Clock Night. Tickets are going fast for the evening, though availability does remain. Stop by the Kingfish Ticket Office, visit kingfishbaseball.com or give us a call at 262.653.0900 for more details.
