Kenosha, Wis. – The Kenosha Kingfish defeated the St. Cloud Rox to a score of 7-3 and are 2-0 at the start of the second half of the season. This undefeated start also means General Manager Jake McGhee had to spend another night on the Bambino.
McGhee guaranteed fans he would sleep on the Bambino if the Kingfish won on Wednesday, June 30th and continue to sleep on the 43 foot long boat untli they lost. Thursday night was night number two on the boat and his "only complaint were the trains and birds" says McGhee.
He raised the stakes before yesterday's game, getting Kingfish outfielder Buddy Reed to agree to sleep on the Bambino if the team lost. Lucky for Reed, the Kingfish had his back and swept the two game series against the St. Cloud Rox forcing McGhee to another night on the boat.
On this Indpendence Day, the Kingfish traveled to Wisconsin Rapids to face the Rafters .They hope to get another win and make it night number three on the Bambino for Jake McGhee.
