The final game of this home stand is set for tonight, Wednesday, July 9th and will be Host Family Appreciation Night. The game is to start at 7:05 p.m. against the La Crosse Loggers and feature Elvis Presley Food Oddities.
Preceding the game, there will be a ceremony recognizing the Kingfish host families. The host families are here to provide the players with a comfortable home away from home. The Kingfish show their appreciation to each host family with season tickets, 10 free hot dogs and sodas, a 25 percent discount on all team merchandise and more. The greatest benefit is between the players and families. Numerous lifetime relationships have been forged between the players and their families. Over the years, children of the host families have gained role models and have been taught valuable life lessons. Many host families say they feel as though they got the better end of the deal.

Fools Gold Loaf – loaf of bread with peanut butter, grape jelly, and bacon

Stuck on You Burnt Bacon Sandwich – crumbled bacon, chopped black olives, pecans, and mayo mixed together to form a sandwich spread that is served on white bread

Jungle Room Party Sandwiches – peanut butter, grape jelly, crumbled bacon, diced granny smith apples, and heavy cream mixed together to form a sandwich spread that is served on crustless white bread.

Hound Dog Heart Attack – deep friend bacon wrapped hot dog finished with peanut butter and bananas
Tickets are still available for tonight and all Kingfish home games of the 2014 season. Tickets can be purchased online at www.KingfishBaseball.com, over the phone at 262-653-0900, and in-person at the Kingfish Ticket Office located at the stadium (7817 Sheridan Road in Kenosha).
