Kenosha, Wis. – The Kingfish fell in the first game against the Woodchucks 7-4. The bats were active with 16 hits on the night compared to the Woodchucks 11  hits and five errors, but couldn’t produce the runs.  The match tonight will begin at 7:05 p.m.

Trevor Haas will be on the mound for the Kingfish, starting with a 2-2 record and a 3.69 ERA. In his last outing, Haas pitched almost six innings, giving up only four hits in the win over the Woodchucks on July 7th. The righty will have the task of quieting Woodchucks Paul DeJong, who leads the Northwoods in home runs, with 13 and has hit two of them in the past two games.

Going up against Hass will be Woodchucks Andy Ravel. Ravel has a record of 0-1 and a 4.73 ERA. The Kingfish, when up to bat have been successful, early on in the second half.  Both Alex Dunlap and Chris Godinez are hitting over .400 in the past week and Pat Porter’s bat is gaining ever more power with two home runs in a four game span.

The Kingfish travel to La Crosse and then onto Battle Creek for two game series respectively. They return to Kenosha on Thursday, July 17th for Snap-On Sockets “What If” Night.
