Kenosha, Wis. – The Kingfish have taken this road trip by storm, sweeping the La Crosse Loggers and winning four of their last five games and sitting in second place, only a game in a half behind the first place Lakeshore Chinooks. Tonight, the team travels to Battle Creek Michigan to face the last place Bombers and secure another win.

J.D Nielsen will be doing his part on the mound. The lefty has a record of 3-1, a 3. 76 ERA and fresh off his latest win. He pitched six impressive innings against La Crosse, giving up only one run and striking out five. Looking to support Nielsen in his start, the Kingfish bullpen will continue what they have done so far on the road, maintaining the lead and shutting down the opponent.

King Elvis’ crew won 8-2 in their last game, showing active hitting.  Kingfish Northwoods League  All-Star, Pat Porter still reigns with 48 RBI and sits in second with nine home runs on the season. Chris Godinez cannot be stopped and is hitting .359, number three overall. After a day off, feeling refreshed and renewed, the Kingfish have plans to win big in Battle Creek.

The team’s next home date will be Thu, July 17th as the club celebrates “What If Night” presented by Snap-On. The squad currently sits in second place in the South Division, and at 9-5 now has as many victories as the first place Lakeshore Chinooks.

The Kingfish office is located at 7817 Sheridan Road and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. For more information on 7-game packs, season or group tickets, please log on to kingfishbaseball.com or call 262.653.0900.
