Kenosha, Wis. – The Kingfish are back in Kenosha for the weekend and ready to build off of their success on the road. They are 6-4 in their last ten games and sit in the number four spot in the division.  The Kingfish bullpen and batting had impressive outings and set out to do so again against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters tonight at 7:05 p.m.

The starting pitchers tonight will be evenly matched.  Trevor Haas will start for the Kingfish, with a record of 3-2, and a 3.19 ERA.  He is fresh off of his last win less than a week ago where he threw for five innings, allowing only one run and striking out two.

Facing the Kingfish will be Nick Blackburn for the Rafters.  Blackburn is 3-2 with a 3.89 ERA. He faced the Kingfish in their last meeting, where the Rafters blew out the Kingfish 14-5. He went for six innings, giving up two runs and seven hits.

Duffy Dyer’s team has done some damage offensively in the past few games, having four players hitting about .400. They look to hold off the sixth place Rafters and take the first game of this home stand.

Tonight’s game will be “What-If” Night, where Kingfish players will don Snap-On Sockets jerseys in celebration of the possible team names for the Kenosha baseball organization. Friday, July 18th will be Lee Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric Twins Turn Back the Clock Night with post game fireworks as well. Saturday night will include post-game fireworks

The Kingfish office is located at 7817 Sheridan Road and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. For more information on 7-game packs, season or group tickets, please log on to kingfishbaseball.com or call 262.653.0900.
