The Kenosha Kingfish will host the inaugural Spooky Sprint 5K and Fall Festival presented by Aurora Health Care on Saturday, October 18 to benefit the Aurora Health Care Foundation. The event will start at 9 am with the Spooky Sprint, a 5K Fun Run/ Walk starting at City Hall in downtown Kenosha and end at home plate of Simmons Field. This unique 5K will feature trick or treating along the way and costumes are encouraged for fans of all ages.   In addition to the 5K for adults, the event will also feature a separate 1K fun run for kids 12 and under. The 1K will take place in the local neighborhood and local businesses and residents are encouraged to provide candy for kids trick-or-treating along the race route. 

 

The Spooky Sprint race entry fee is $30 for adults and $10 for kids. Proceeds from this year’s Spooky Sprint will be used to advance cardiovascular services at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. All participants will receive free t-shirt and a complimentary beverage at the stadium upon completion of the race. To register for the Aurora Health Care Spooky Sprint 5K or kids 1K fun run, please log on to kingfishbaseball.com. Following the Spooky Sprint 5K the Kingfish will host a FREE Fall Festival at historic Simmons Field from 10 am until 2 pm. Entry is FREE for the family friendly event and open to the public. Fall themed ballpark food and beverage will be available for purchase, as families will enjoy hayrides, a pumpkin patch, and a petting zoo at the afternoon event. The event will also feature the Aurora Kid Zone games including the bounce house, speed pitch, bobblehead ring toss, and Kingfish sandbox.
