Kingfish Announce Winner Of 2015 Aurora Health Care Alternate Jersey Design Contest
Christian Life School Student Designs Kingfish Alternate Jersey

Kenosha, Wis. – For the past few months, the Kenosha Kingfish have been working with Kenosha area middle and high school students in hopes to find an artistic design for the 2015 alternate jersey. The Kingfish received over 500 submissions from 50 different schools throughout the Kenosha area.

After taking all designs into consideration, the Kingfish are proud to announce a winner. Nick Abate, an 8th grade student at Christian Life School, is this year’s contest winner. The Kingfish will work with Nick’s submission to design a final product.

This jersey will be worn for all Kingfish road games and select home games throughout the season and will be auctioned off on Friday, August 7th as the Kingfish take on the Kalamazoo Growlers. Nick has been given the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch on that night’s game, tickets for friends and family, and his very own alternate jersey.

This was the most popular design concept that was submitted. All submissions with a similar design will also receive a ticket to the home game the jersey makes its debut. Those submissions will similar designs will be posted on Facebook. The Kingfish would like to thank everyone who participated in the contest.

The Kingfish are proud to partner with Aurora Health Care to support their efforts to enhance patient care and help people live well.  Last year’s jersey auction raised $3,319 and proceeds from the silent auction that took place were donated to the Aurora Health Care Foundation which supports a wide range of services for cardiac care, cancer research, and outreach services to the less fortunate, women’s health and more.

The Kingfish will open the season at home on Tuesday, May 26th at 7:05 pm as they take on the St. Cloud Rox.  Kingfish single-game tickets will go on-sale on Saturday, April 25th at 9:00 am.
