Kenosha, Wis. – With three games remaining in the first half, the Kenosha Kingfish (21-12) host the Mankato MoonDogs (16-16) in a pivotal game at Simmons Field at 5:05 p.m. at Simmons Field Sunday.

Behind Eric Filia’s first home run of the season, the Kingfish took down the MoondDogs 5-1 last night.  Filia blasted a home run over the right field wall in the sixth inning and the Kingfish also took advantage of errors committed by the MoonDogs to score three runs.  EJ Trapino worked five plus innings to pick up the win for Kenosha and Ryan Orr only allowed one hit en route to earning the save. 

Dillon Mazzoccoli gets the nod on the hill today for the Kingfish.  Mazzoccoli is 0-1 in seven appearances this year, including two starts.  He owns a 4.09 ERA and 19 K’s in 22 total innings pitched.  In his last start, the junior from Texas State went five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits in a losing effort. 

The terrific public servants of Kenosha come together Sunday on Webster University First Responders Night. Firefighters and police officers from Kenosha will play a softball game at Simmons Field at 2:45pm. Gates are open to the public and will open early at 2:45pm. Lynch Chevrolet presents the Firefighter Elvis bobblehead giveaway and they will be distributed starting at 2:45pm. 

Fans are invited to bring their dogs to help cheer on the Kingfish for IRIS Bark in the Park Night. Water bowls will be available throughout the stadium and dogs must be on a leash for the duration of the game. There is no better way to spend your Sunday evening than with man’s best friend and Kingfish baseball.

It is also Kenosha Area Conventions and Visitors Bureau Visit Kenosha Day. Visit Kenosha will be raffling off a prize package valued at $1,200. Look for the raffle at a promo table located near the Kings Corner Concession Stand and enter the contest by signing up for the newsletter. One entry per person, must be present to win. The winner will be announced in the seventh inning.
