Kingfish Host Loggers Tonight.

Monday, July 6th at 7:05 p.m. at Simmons Field

Kenosha, Wis. – The Kenosha Kingfish (27-14) play the La Crosse Loggers (21-18) for the finale of a four game set at 7:05 p.m. at Simmons Field tonight.

A Nick Sergakis walk-off double helped the Kingfish capture a 5-4 ten-inning victory over the Loggers last night.  With two outs in the tenth, Zach Weigel walked and then Sergakis launched the first pitch he saw into deep centerfield to drive home Weigel.  Ryan Orr pitched the last three innings to pick up the win.

The Kingfish turn to P.J. Schuster for tonight’s game.  Schuster enters with a 3-2 record and a 3.15 ERA.  The junior from SIUE has started seven games, throwing 40 innings and striking out 35.  This will be Schuster’s third start against La Crosse, owning a 1-1 record against them.

Nolan Gromacki opposes Schuster on the mound for the Loggers.  On the year, Gromacki is 1-3 with a 4.40 ERA in 10 games, including three starts.  Gromacki will be making his third start against the Kingfish this season.  The freshman from Missouri is 0-1 with five strikeouts and seven total runs allowed vs. Kenosha in two starts.
