Aaron Sims Returns To Press Box For 2016 Season

The Kenosha Kingfish are pleased to announce that fan-favorite, public address announcer Aaron Sims will return for the 2016 season. This season marks Sims' thirteenth year in the Northwoods League. He began with the Madison Mallards in 2004 as a radio play-by-play announcer and transitioned to public address announcing in 2005. He has spent the last two seasons in the Kingfish press box as their public address announcer. Sims is currently the play-by-play announcer for the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

With a background in standup comedy, play-by-play in baseball, hockey, and football, and as the host of various radio shows, Sims has combined this experience to become one of the best public address announcers in minor league baseball. Kingfish team owner Conor Caloia commends Sims' impact on the fan experience and is thrilled to have him as part of the Big Top Baseball family again in 2016, "Aaron brings a great deal of talent, experience and fun to the ballpark each and every day and truly helps to make the fan experience a memorable one. I could not be more excited to have him back for not only this season but for the Northwoods League All-Star Game as well."

The Kingfish provide a ballpark experience unlike any other and Sims truly enjoyed each season thus far in Kenosha, "Last summer was such a special summer for me.” Sims said, “Fans in Kenosha are a special group. They stay until the last pitch. They love the team and they love to have fun. I'm looking forward to more fun this season with the great fans of the Kingfish."

In addition to his role as the lead play-by-play announcer for the Admirals, Sims also serves as the head of the organization's community outreach program.  In 2014, Sims filled in for the NHL’s Nashville Predators as their radio play-by-play announcer.
