Kingfish Unveil 2016 Plans In Front Of Standing Room Only Crowd

Kenosha, Wis. – It was standing room only at Lynch Chevrolet in Kenosha as the Kingfish unveiled upcoming stadium improvements, this summer’s bobblehead series and special events for 2016.

It was announced that the entire infield is getting redone and re-leveled, making the playing field one of the best in the Northwoods League. The work will start in April and be complete in time for Opening Day.

The Aurora Health Care Kid Zone will see a major improvement in 2016 with the addition of a 70’ long Snap-on inflatable zip line. The inflatable will feature two side by side lines. Kids will climb up the inflatable to the top of the zip line and cruise 70’ to the finish.

Also new this year, the 7-Game Pack will feature a rotating nightly food special. Specials may include chicken primavera pasta, smoked pulled chicken, seasoned and smoked pork chops, beef tips and rice, and more.

The Kingfish 2016 bobblehead lineup consists of six custom Elvis dolls. The bobblehead dolls and dates as are follows:

Not only are the Kingfish giving away six bobbleheads at the gates, fans will also have a chance at the Aurora Health Care Kid Zone’s bobblehead ring toss to win a Little Leaguer Elvis or Back to School Elvis, presented by Kozak Orthodontics. On Tuesdays, when the Kingfish are on the road, Kaiser’s Pizza and Pub will give away a Pizza Chef Elvis bobblehead, one per table with a qualifying purchase of $20 or more. 


Coming back in 2016 will be several special events. The Kingfish will host the Johnson Bank Movie Series, which are free, family events that are open to the public. Movies include Shrek on June 24th, Finding Nemo on July 22nd, and Despicable Me on August 12th. The Kingfish will also host the 3rd annual Aurora Health Care Spooky Sprint 5K on Saturday, October 8th. Last year, nearly 200 runners participated.

The Kingfish will open the season at home on Tuesday, May 31st at 7:05 pm as they take on the La Crosse Loggers.  Kingfish single game tickets will go on sale Saturday, April 30th at 9:00 am.
