Kingfish Release Final Home Run Derby at the Harbor Details

Kenosha, Wis. – The first ever event of its kind in baseball, the Home Run Derby at the Harbor, is this Monday, July 18th. The event will feature top Northwoods League Sluggers batting from a pier that extends in to Lake Michigan. Derby participants will hit home runs into the downtown Kenosha Harbor. Sailboats from the Kenosha Yacht Club will serve as the foul poles to the mock Simmons Field and a floating barrier will mimic the outfield wall.
Full event timeline is as follows:
5:30– Gates Open, Live Music By Bella Cain
6:30– Home Run Derby Begins
7:50– Live Music By Bella Cain
Sundown- Fireworks
Activities include a kids bounce house, bobblehead ring toss and Snap-on Inflatable Zipline. Ballpark food, beverages, ice cream, beer and Kingfish merchandise will be available for purchase.
The event zone hugs the lake and is located across from Navy Memorial Park, next to Common Grounds (5159 6th Ave.). Street parking is available for fans.
Kingfish staff will be on site and select players will take a few practice swings on Wednesday, July 13th at 12pm.
The 2016 NWL All-Star Game will take place at Simmons Field the following day on July 19th at 7:05pm.
