Kingfish Release 2017 Promotional Schedule
Highlighted by nine fireworks shows and the return of the Home Run Derby at the Harbor
Kenosha, Wis. – The Kenosha Kingfish have released their full promotional schedule for the 2017 season. The 2017 schedule is packed with nine fireworks shows, five unique bobblehead giveaways including the first ever smart watch bobblehead, brand new entertainment acts and celebrity appearances. The Kingfish will continue to provide affordable, family-oriented entertainment and are excited to offer a top-notch ballpark experience.
The Kingfish open their season on Thursday, June 1st against the Green Bay Bullfrogs, featuring the CCB Technology stadium blanket giveaway. Friday, June 2nd features the Platinum Systems Streaking Elvis Bobblehead giveaway. The weekend continues on Saturday, June 3rd with the first fireworks display of the season presented by Camosy Construction. Sunday June 4th is Columbia College of Missouri Military Appreciation Day featuring Jim Cornelison from the Chicago Blackhawks singing the National Anthem and signing autographs. The Sunday afternoon game will also feature a petting zoo. At each Sunday home game this season; kids have the opportunity to run the bases, presented by Aurora Health Care.
Home Run Derby at the Harbor
Back by popular demand is the Home Run Derby at the Harbor on Wednesday, August 2nd. All of the action and excitement will be back. Food, beer, live music, kid’s games and fireworks will light up the harbor.
In addition to the Platinum Systems Streaking Elvis, three other bobbleheads will be featured throughout the season. Festival Foods presents the Elvis Gnome on June 15th. Two-time World Series Champion and former Northwoods League Player Ben Zobrist will take on bobblehead form presented by Lynch Chevrolet on June 22nd. Lee Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric iElvis is the first every smart watch bobblehead and will be debuted on July 10th. Twin Disc Lighthouse Elvis on July 13th will round out the 2017 series.
The Kingfish will feature nine post-game fireworks shows, sure to amaze all fans in attendance. These shows will take place after Saturday night home games including: June 3rd, June 24th, July 8th, July 15th, July 22nd and July 29th. There will be additional shows on June 30th, July 2nd and July 3rd to celebrate the Independence Day Holiday.
The fan-favorite dancing inflatable ZOOperstars will appear at Simmons Field on Wednesday, June 7th presented by Meijer. WWE legend Kevin Nash will make an appearance on Friday, June 23rd courtesy of Angry Orchard. New in 2017 is The Chicago Boyz Acrobatic team that will flip into Simmons Field on Wednesday, June 14th, the Limbo Queen on Friday, July 14th brought to you by CCB Technology and SweetRight Brothers Entertainment on Monday, August 7th.
