Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.-The Kingfish (0-2) fell to the Rafters Wednesday night in the tenth inning by a final of 4-2. The Rafters ended the night with a walkoff 2-run homerun off the bat of Mitch Mallek with 2 outs in the 10th.

It was Quinn Snarskis, the right hander from St. Joe's (Indiana) who made the start and went 5 innings allowing just 1 run on 3 hits and striking out four. The lone run off Snarskis came in the first inning and the Kingfish got it back when Tyler Paulsen knocked an RBI single in the fourth inning scoring Mike Madej.

It wouldn't be the only time Madej would cross home plate. The switch hitter from Purdue knocked a solo homerun to break the 1-1 tie in the top of the 8th to left field, his first of the year.

But the Rafters, after facing Zach Stromberg who went 3 innings of 0 run baseball, faced Alex Manasa in the 9th and got a 2 out RBI single from Nick Owens to make it 2-2.

The Rafters would get a man aboard to start the bottom of the 10th and it was Mitch Mallek who hit a walkoff two run homerun to win the game by a final of 4-2.

The Kingfish will look to get win number 1 tomorrow night in the home opener at Historic Simmons Field against the Green Bay Bullfrogs at 6:35.
