TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – The first place Pit Spitters (21-13) extended their win streak to nine games on Sunday night with a 2-1 win over the Kenosha Kingfish (13-21) at Pit Spitters Park.

RHP Kevin Hahn (CSU – Stanislaus) picked up the win for the Traverse Pit Spitters throwing two innings in relief while allowing one hit and striking out one.

RHP Keith Kutzler (UW – Whitewater) started for Kenosha going 6 2/3 innings and allowing one run on three hits.

RHP Tanner Fallon (Loras College) received the loss throwing two-thirds of an inning allowing a run on two hits.

Pit Spitters starter RHP Cade Heil (North Georgia) threw seven innings giving up one run on three hit and striking out five Kingfish.

Traverse City struck first in the fifth inning with C Adam Proctor (Michigan State) scoring on a passed ball.

Proctor finished the night 3-4 and scored the winning run in the ninth.

Kenosha tied the game in the top of the eighth after a leadoff double by 1B Connor Mang (New Mexico). LF Charles Middleton (Sierra College) walked putting two on with no outs.

The next batter SS R.J. Pearson (Oral Roberts) grounded into a double play sending Mang to third base. Mang then scored on a wild pitch to tie the game 1-1.

LF Hudson Byorick (Wofford) walked the Kingfish off in the ninth with an RBI single into right field.

The Kingfish continue their road trip on Monday in Kalamazoo, Michigan at 7:05 p.m. ET.
