KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Rain suspended Tuesday’s game between the Kenosha Kingfish (13-22) and the Kalamazoo Growlers (16-16) at Home Stryker Field.

RHP Matthew Plisko (Macalester) started for the Kingfish throwing three scoreless innings allowing three hits and one strikeout.

LHP Brennan Cox (Wayne State) started for the Growlers allowing one run in four innings on three hits and three walks.

LF Charles Middleton (Sierra College) stole home in the top of the second and scored the first run of the game putting Kenosha up 1-0.

The Kingfish turned two double plays in the first three innings to maintain a 1-0 lead into the fourth.

Kenosha and Kalamazoo will resume play on Thursday, July 11 at 5:05 p.m. at Homer Stryker Field in the bottom of the fourth inning.

The Kingfish and Growlers regularly scheduled game on July 11 has been shortened to a seven inning contest and will begin 30 minutes following the end of the suspended game.

The Kingfish return home Wednesday to face the Rockford Rivets at 6:35 p.m. CT.
