Kokomo, Ind. – The Kenosha Kingfish defeated the Kokomo Jackrabbits 11-3 on Friday night.

 

Kenosha struck first in the second frame off of a Josh Leslie double that scored Anthony Mangano. The next batter Gage Williams grounded out to score Drake Westcott to make it 2-0. Kenosha added two more in the second to take a 4-0 lead.

The Kingfish piled on with one run in the fourth and one in the fifth off of a Drake Varnado sacrifice bunt that scored Williams and a Leslie triple that scored Westcott to make it 6-0

Kenosha added one in the eighth before a four-run ninth where the Kingfish had six players reach base.

 

Kokomo scored the last runs of the game with a three-run ninth to cut down the damage to 11-3.

 

Reece Rodabaugh was charged with the loss after going an inning and allowing three runs.

Kenosha pitcher Robbie Dudzinski was credited with the win after throwing four innings of shutout ball. He relieved Victor Loa who threw two innings conceding zero runs. McCray Gann threw two innings of shutout ball. Drew Fifer pitched the ninth conceding three runs.

Kenosha (12-7) will take on the Kokomo Jackrabbits (5-14) in the series finale on June 18th. The first pitch will be at 6:35 p.m. EST.
