Kokomo, Ind. – The Kenosha Kingfish fell to the Kokomo Jackrabbits 3-2 in ten innings on Saturday night.

 

Kenosha struck first in the first inning on an Ian Collier double play with the bases loaded that scored Parker Stinson. They added on in the second courtesy of a Michael Dallas single that plated Anthony Mangano.

Kokomo got their first run in the bottom half of the second off of an Alejandro Holguin single that scored Kyan Lodice to make it 2-1

The 2-1 score held until the bottom of the ninth when Kokomo drew even on a Luke Sartori sacrifice fly that plated Matt Aribal. Kokomo added their final tally in the bottom of the tenth off of an Aribal single that scored Holguin.

Hector Garcia was credited with the win after going five innings and allowing zero runs.

Kenosha pitcher Grayson Thurman was charged with the loss after throwing two innings, conceding two runs He relieved Blake Pivaroff who threw 1.2 innings conceding one run. Tyler McLaren threw 3.1 innings of shutout ball and Jacob Gerhing threw three scoreless frames. 

Kenosha (11-9) will take on the Kalamazoo Growlers (10-9) in the series opener on June 19th. The first pitch will be at 4:05 p.m. CST.
