Traverse City, Mi. – The Kenosha Kingfish fell to the Traverse City Pit Spitters 5-2 on Wednesday night. 

Kenosha struck first in the second inning on a Nick Iannantone sacrifice fly that plated Drake Westcott to make it 1-0.

Traverse City got the run back in the third courtesy of a Jacob Marsee single that scored Cody Hultink.

 

Following three scoreless frames, Traverse City put up four in the seventh off of a Christian Beal two-RBI triple and a Jakob Marsee double.

 

Kenosha scored one in the ninth off of a wild pitch from Adam Christopher that scored Taylor Darden, but it was too late as the Kingfish fell for the sixth straight night by a score of 5-2.

.

Derek Clark was credited with the win after going seven innings and allowing one runs.

Kenosha pitcher McCray Gann was charged with the loss after throwing 0.1 innings, conceding four runs. He relieved Luke Patzner who lasted six innings conceding only one run. Luke Ellis pitched 0.2 innings of shutout ball. Jesse Wainscott pitched the eighth, conceding no runs.

Kenosha (14-17) will take on the Traverse City Pit Spitters (15-16) in the series finale on June 29th. The first pitch will be at 6:35 p.m. CST.
