Kenosha, WI.- The Kenosha Kingfish beat the Kokomo Jackrabbits on Sunday afternoon with a final score of 6-5.

On Saturday, these two teams split a doubleheader, with Kenosha winning on a walk-off solo home run from Brandon Nigh (Oakland University). Kokomo took the second game as Kenosha’s bullpen fell apart in extra innings.

Nigh accounted for 2 of Kenosha’s runs in the series finale, as well. Julian Jimenez (Milwaukee Area Tech) went 3-4 in the affair.

Kokomo’s Filip Sarota shone at the plate today, with 2 hits and an RBI.

Reagan Burford (Ole Miss) earned the win for Kenosha today, being the most effective reliever and posting a 0.00 ERA.

Kokomo starter, Frederick Romano ( Western Illinois University) took the loss for the Jackrabbits after giving up 8 hits and 5 runs after only 4.0 innings of work.

The Kingfish will enjoy an off-day on Monday before welcoming the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders to Historic Simmons Field on Tuesday. First pitch will be at 6:35 PM CST.
