Kenosha, Wis. – The Kenosha Kingfish (1-0, 17-16) play the St. Cloud Rox once again tonight at 7:05 p.m. with the chance of moving to 2-0 in the second half of the season.

Starting for the Kingfish will be J.D Nielsen. The towering lefty has been a member of Duffy Dyer’s rotation since the beginning of the season. He is 1-1 and with his best start coming against the Lakeshore Chinooks in which he went seven innings strong, allowing four hits and no runs.

Hoping to give the Rox their first win of the second half is starter Nick McCarty. McCarty is 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA. The St. Cloud pitching staff had a hard time last night, falling behind in the count often resulting in a big advantage for King Elvis’ crew.

The Kingfish stepped up big last night in the absence of slugger Zach Ratcliff, who was selected to the College Home Run Derby. Pat Porter and Alex Dunlap picked up the slack, crushing back to back home runs in the fourth.  The Kingfish kept the Rox defense busy all night with 13 hits and 14 runs. The Kingfish will cheer on Ratcliff tonight as he competes in Omaha, while looking to grab another win and finish tonight in the South Division's top spot.

Following tonight’s contest, there will be post-game fireworks presented by Camosy Construction. The next home series for Kenosha will begin on July 6th against the rival Lakeshore Chinooks as the team meets for a two-day doubleheader.

The Kingfish office is located at 7817 Sheridan Road and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. For more information on 7-game packs, season or group tickets, please log on to kingfishbaseball.com or call 262.653.0900.
