Kenosha, Wis. – The Kenosha Kingfish (41-19) will go for six straight wins tonight when they host the Wisconsin Woodchucks (22-35) at Simmons Field at 7:05 p.m.
The Kingfish used a big time performance from Alex Borglin to defeat Wisconsin 10-5 last night. Borglin had two RBI triples and three total RBIs in the game. Eric Filia led the Kingfish with five RBIs, including a base loaded clearing double in the seventh inning. David Meade earned the win after lasting five innings and only allowing one run.
Trevor Haas takes the mound tonight for the Kingfish. In 14 games, Haas is 2-1 with a 4.97 ERA in 29 innings pitched. In his last five outings, the righty from Valparaiso has only allowed two runs in seven and two thirds innings pitched.
Starting for the Woodchucks is Dylan Dwyer. The southpaw is 2-2 with a 4.20 ERA in eight starts this summer. The University of Kentucky student-athlete has 28 strikeouts and 15 walks in 45 innings pitched. Back on June 13th, Dwyer took the loss against the Kingfish after going four innings and giving up two runs on two hits.
Tonight is Central Printing Baseball Card Giveaway. Fans will receive a pack of cards with their favorite 2015 Kingfish players inside. Star Wars Night invades Simmons Field that tonight as well. There will be an in game costume parade and a hot dog & soda voucher for kids who dress up.
