Kenosha, Wis. – The Kenosha Kingfish (47-22) play their final 2015 regular season home game tonight when they host the Kalamazoo Growlers (16-53) at 7:05 p.m. at Simmons Field.
The Kingfish won a wild one over Kalamazoo last night, 5-3 in 11 innings. Trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the eighth inning, a two RBI double from Jeremy Vasquez and an RBI single from John Brodner pulled the Kingfish even with Kalamazoo. In to the bottom of the 11th inning, Alex Borglin connected for a walk-off two-run home run to seal the victory. J.D. Nielsen worked three scoreless innings of relief to notch the win.
On the hill tonight, P.J. Schuster tries to close out the regular season at Simmons Field with a win. The 2015 Northwoods League All-Star is 6-3 with a 3.07 ERA in 12 starts this season. Schuster has won his last three decisions and has pitched at least five innings in his last seven starts.
After the game, Kozak Orthodontics presents the Invisalign Dig. A coupon will be hidden within the infield and the first person to find the coupon claims the Invisalign prize, a $6,000 value. The Aurora Health Care alternate jerseys will be up for auction tonight. A silent auction for the jerseys will be located next to Fan Services and the auction runs through the seventh inning. CCB Technology Fan Appreciation Night takes place as well with a Kingfish year-end yard sale.
