Kingfish Sign Hoscheit and Jadacki to Help Man Outfield
Kenosha, Wis. – The Kingfish have added a couple of outfielders to their roster for the 2016 season. The Kingfish are proud to announce the signings of Joe Hoscheit from Northwestern University and Cal Jadacki from St. Joseph’s University.
Hoscheit is in the midst of his Junior season with the Northwestern Wildcats. He is a right-handed hitter hailing from St. Charles, Illinois. He stepped onto campus in Evanston his freshman year and immediately became a key component to the program. As a freshman, he made the All Big Ten Freshman team and led the Wildcats program with RBI in 2 out situations.
His sophomore year, he was the only player on the team to start all 54 games. That year, he hit .286 with 3 HR and 28 RBI. Hoscheit was also named an Academic All Big Ten Honoree, showing he could get the job done on and off the field. He has also made a combined 16 appearances over the course of his career on the pitcher’s mound and boasts an ERA of 2.95.
Cal Jadacki is a junior outfielder that will add another left-handed bat to the lineup. From McLean, Virginia originally, Jadacki came into his own last year with a breakout season. He hit .316 for the year with 1 HR and 15 RBI. He was named the team’s most improved player.
Jadacki was also named Atlantic 10 and Big 5 Player of the Week last year for his efforts in the team’s series against St. Bonaventure. In that series, he went 9 for 15 with 6 RBI. Both will be key contributions to the Kingfish for their 2016 campaign. The Kingfish will open up play this summer at home against the La Crosse Loggers on May 31 at 7:05 CST.
