The Kenosha Kingfish are excited to announce that new and improved bathroom facilities will be completed at Historic Simmons Field for the 2018 Northwoods League season. The bathroom project is the start of a joint long-term capital improvement plan between the Kingfish and the City of Kenosha.
“The organization is committed to providing fans with the best possible game day experience” said General Manager Scott Preimesberger. “At the end of each season we conduct a fan survey and speak with group outing and ticket package customers about what we can continue to improve on. Fans spoke up about the need for updated bathroom facilities at the ballpark, so we listened to what they had to say and got this project underway.”
The first phase of the new plan will consist of adding four additional stalls to the women’s bathroom. In addition, a new family restroom will also be added which will be located next to the current men’s facility by the American Outfitters Team Store. Construction is set to begin soon.
In addition to the bathroom renovations, the Kingfish also announced last week the Share the Glove initiative, a celebration of the Northwoods League’s 25th Anniversary. The Kingfish will be partnering up with the Northwoods League and Rawlings to award a softball equipment package to one local softball little league. The grant will consist of two sets of catcher’s equipment, ten gloves, eight batting helmets, six bats and one bucket of practice balls.
