The struggles that have plagued the Chinooks over the last week hung around for another day.

The
Chinooks came up short for the fifth consecutive time in a 4-0 loss to the Wisconsin Woodchucks.
Cody Glenn (LSU) was tabbed to make his first start of the season on Monday and through the first four innings he was fantastic. Glenn held the Woodchucks hitless during that time period surrendering one unearned run when shortstop German Reyes’s (Winston Salem) throw pulled Mat Harjung (Missouri Baptist) off the bag allowing a run to score from second.

The Woodchucks expanded their lead in the fifth aided in part by another Chinooks miscue in the field.
A walk, a wild pitch, and two singles later the Woodchucks pushed the lead to 3-0.

The final tally of the game came when the Woodchucks took advantage of a third Chinooks error leading off the sixth to push the lead to 4-0.

The Chinooks were paced offensively by Charlie Markson (Notre Dame) who collected two hits in the loss.

Game two in the series is tomorrow evening.
The Chinooks will send Carson Beauchaine to the hill. Game time scheduled for 6:35.
