Opportunity knocked in virtually every inning for the Chinooks Tuesday. Lakeshore collected 12 hits but could only manage two runs in a tough 3-2 loss to the La Crosse Loggers.
 
Carson Beauchaine was dominant in five innings of work on the hill. After giving up a hit in the first, he proceeded to retire 11 of the last 12 batters he faced. The lone base runner, who reached on a walk in the fifth, was quickly retired on an unassisted double play by first basemen Keaton Steele.
 
The Chinooks got on the board first in the second thanks to the first of three doubles by the Lakeshore offense. German Reyes (Winston Salem) was driven home by Forrest Chadwick (Southern Maine). The Chinooks pushed the lead to 2-0 thanks to a double by Keaton Steele (Missouri) and an RBI single by Matt Morse (Alabama-Birmingham).
 
Ryan Krill lead the way offensively with a three hit outing to go along with two walks.
 
Tyler Thicke (Madison College) suffered his second loss of the season surrendering three runs on one hit and three walks in one inning of work.
 
The series with the Loggers concludes tomorrow when Andrew Waszak (Michigan State) takes the hill for the Chinooks. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
