Play Ball!

The Lakeshore Chinooks have released the 2013 schedule of games this summer at Kapco Park in Mequon.

  • All teams in the Northwoods League take the field on Wednesday, May 29.
  • The Chinooks first home game is Thursday, May 30 against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.
  • Nearly half of the Chinooks’ home games, (16 out of 35) will be played on the weekend (Friday-Sunday).

This season will also feature some inter-divisional play for the first time since 2009.  The Waterloo Bucks and the Rochester Honkers from the Northern Division pay the Chinooks a visit in late July and early August.  The schedule will again feature 70 games during the regular season with an All-Star Game in July and the playoffs set for mid-August.

In addition, the Chinooks announced that ticket prices remain the same as last season. There will be no increase for ticket packages, general seating areas and reserved seats. Single game tickets remain:

  • $11 Reserved Box Seat
  • $8 Reserved Grandstand Seat
  • $5 General Admission

And, there is great news for fans who sit in the Reserved Grandstands this season. The view of the game will be a little better, as slight modifications will provide better sight lines.

Last year, we had a tremendous response to our games at Kapco Park from around Southeastern Wisconsin, and we’re looking forward to our second season with the Lakeshore Chinooks,” said Chinooks President and Majority Owner Jim Kacmarcik.

“Fans enjoyed high caliber baseball in a relaxing setting.  Our mission is to provide an affordable, fun, family entertainment option in a comfortable atmosphere while showcasing some of the best talent in college baseball.  Our roster will again have players from some of the top Division 1 baseball programs in the country like Florida, UCLA, Arkansas, LSU and others,” Kacmarcik added.

The 16-team Northwoods League celebrates its 20th anniversary season in 2013. The Northwoods League is the largest collegiate summer baseball league and drew more than 900,000 fans last year.
