It has all come down to this! The 2nd half winner of the Northwoods League South Division will be determined tonight on the last day of the regular season. Whoever is crowned 2nd half champion will move on to the Northwoods League Playoffs which will start tomorrow!
The Chinooks finish their series in Madison at Warner Park against the Mallards with game time set for 5:05pm! Lakeshore will send Tyler Thicke (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) to the mound while the Mallards will send former Chinook Rex Morrow to the hill. The Chinooks offense stalled last night as the Mallards beat the Chinooks 9-3.
Competing for the final playoff spot is the La Crosse Loggers. The Loggers beat the Wisconsin Woodchucks last night after a late inning rally. The Loggers and Woodchucks will finish up their regular season in La Crosse at 5:05pm.
The Chinooks can clinch the 2nd half and make the playoffs based off of two outcomes; a Chinooks win or a Loggers loss. If the Chinooks lose and the Loggers win, La Crosse will move on to the playoffs. Whoever makes the playoffs will face the Madison Mallards in the division series starting tomorrow night.
In the event the Lakeshore Chinooks clinch and make the playoffs, they will host the Madison Mallards tomorrow night, August 12th at Kapco Park at 6:35pm. Gates would open at 5:35pm. Game 2 of the series would be at Warner Park in Madison on Tuesday, August 13th. If needed, Game 3 would be back at Kapco Park on Wednesday, August 14th.
Individuals on the priority playoff ticket list will be contacted by a Chinooks ticket sales associate to finalize orders and payment. Tickets will go on sale to the general public tomorrow at 9:00am. You can purchase tickets online by visiting www.lakeshorechinooks.com or by calling the Chinooks ticket office at 262-618-4659. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Kapco Park Box Office when gates open on Monday at 5:35pm.
