The second-annual Northwoods League Big League Dreams Showcase took place in Madison on Tuesday, August 5.

Eight Chinook players were chosen to participate in game one of a double-header between the North and South Divisions.

In the first game, the North defeated the South by the final score of 8-3.

Brett Siddall (Canisius) played right field for the South and went 2-4 with a double. Both Mitch Ghelfi (UW-Milwaukee) and Blake Butler (College of Charleston) started, but neither reached base.

Southpaw Connor Jones (Georgia) was the starting pitcher for the South. In one inning, he gave up one run off no hits and one walk. Jones also struck out the side.

Fellow lefty Jake Tuttle (UW-Milwaukee) tossed the seventh inning. He surrendered one run off three walks and no hits as well.

In the eighth, Chinooks closer Andrew Elliott (Wright State) gave up one hit and had one strikeout.

The Lakeshore Chinooks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
