Grafton, WI – The Lakeshore Chinooks mascot, Gill, has announced his candidacy for President of the United States of America. He made the official announcement at an early morning press conference Tuesday from the team’s headquarters in Grafton.
Gill will be the first candidate from the newly formed Fish Party. At this time, details have not been released as far as the Fish Party’s platform and views. Gill’s campaign office announced he will be sharing his views on a number of topics in the coming weeks. He will be out on the campaign trail very shortly and will be announcing his stops throughout the state and country soon. Although not a part of the Republican Party, Gill wishes to debate with the other candidates on November 10th at the Milwaukee Theater.
“Gill has put a lot of time and effort into making a Lakeshore Chinooks game and Kapco Park the premier destination for summer collegiate baseball and entertainment. Since the season concluded in August, Gill has been turning his attention to make our great country a better place,” stated campaign press secretary, Eric Snodgrass.
Since Gill is a fish of few words, he has hired Chinooks Director of Sales, Eric Snodgrass, to be his voice out in the public. Gill has also hired Lakeshore Chinooks Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Ashley Sugden, to be his campaign manager.
Gill has promised to keep all of his Chinooks obligations during the campaign including making an appearance at all Lakeshore home games. His campaign is currently being funded by Salmon For A Brighter Tomorrow.
