Jeff & Cindy Hubert
Hometown: Cedarburg, WI
Seasons: 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015
Players Hosted: EDDY MORGAN (Coach), BRETT SIDDALL (Canisius), ANTHONY MASSICCI (Canisius)
Favorite MLB Team: Milwaukee Brewers!
Always Have in the Fridge for Players: Chocolate and white milk, fresh fruit, leftovers from the dinner they missed while at the ballpark, bagels and lots of eggs!
Favorite Restaurant to Take Players: Not much time for that but we always manage to get to The Harbor House on the lake in Milwaukee before they head for home.
Must-See Attraction/Site to Show Players: Again, not much time for them, but the guys love Summerfest and also getting to Miller Park.
#1 House Rule for Players: If you won't be spending the night at home please let us know (they were most respectful and always did!)
Family Activity to Share: We loved having Brett's parents visit for a weekend and his mom and sisters visit another weekend, but honestly we really enjoyed that Brett and Anthony each felt comfortable enough to bring some of the guys home after a game (again, they each asked if it was okay). So much fun to get to know them and to hear their thoughts about the game!
Favorite Chinooks Promotion or Contest: We think it's wonderful to have youngsters on the field by the players during the National Anthem.
About their experience, Cindy says: “It was fabulous to be part of the All-Star activities in 2014 and to watch Brett win the "home-run" competition, to watch Eddy coach the all-stars with Robin Yount and win, and to see our Chinooks win the 2014 championship. But it was just as wonderful watching Anthony, being the stable hitter that he was, helping the team and hopefully catching the eye of some of the scouts at the Showcase in Madison. And, we love watching Eddy and his rapport with the players, coaches and fans while he achieves his goals!" And . . . “We try to get to many games (even though we usually don't stay for the whole game) just to show our guys that we're there and we're interested. We think it's important to provide a comfortable home situation with proper accommodations and good food and we've told all three of our guys that this is their home-away-from-home and they can't be bashful and have to make themselves at home.” |
