La Crosse, WI – The Chinooks completed their suspended Tuesday night game against the La Crosse Loggers Wednesday night, dropping a 5-2 decision. 

The Chinooks bats remained quiet against the Loggers in game one only getting two runs off of six hits. Over the last four games, the Chinooks have managed to score only six runs. Gage Canning (Arizona State) got the Chinooks on the board first with a base hit RBI single to right scoring Even Harasta (Albany) making it 1-0 Chinooks.

Starting the game from the top of the third, the Chinooks sent Joe Stoll (Ohio State) to the mound. Stoll made his second appearance with the Chinooks and pitched three innings, giving up 3 runs and getting 4 strikeouts.  The Loggers came striking back in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI sacrafice fly by Gavin Johns (Yavapaii) tying the game 1-1. 

Chinooks make a call to the bullpen and bring in Nolan Bond (Houston) in the bottom of the sixth. Loggers hitter Lorenzo Hampton Jr. (California) greets Bond with an infield single to score a run making it 2-1 Loggers, followed by an RBI base hit by Grant Fennell (Nevada) to make it 3-1 Loggers. Mason McCoy's (Iowa) RBI fielders choice increased the Loggers lead to 4-1.

Manager Eddy Morgan brought in pitcher Brandon Baker (Georgia State) who gave up a base hit to Jake Hirabayashi (UCLA) followed by a hit to McCoy giving the Loggers a 5-1 lead. 

The Chinooks try to come back in the top of the ninth after Kevin Riley (Chaffey CC) singles, followed by a bunt single from Zac Taylor (Houston) and an infield single by Alec Olund (Purdue) cut the Loggers lead to 5-2. However, Joe Duncan (Easter Illinois) grounded out with the bases loaded to end the game.

Game two followed with pitcher Joey Abraham (Vanderbilt) taking the mound for the Chinooks coming into the game with a 1.28 ERA in 7 innings pitched. The Loggers struke first when Griffin Conine (Duke) smacks an RBI single to right putting the La Crosse on the board, 1-0. Justin Wylie (San Diego State) hits a 2 run double to right increasing the Loggers lead to 3-0. 

Chinooks were not going to go down easy when Owen Miller (Illinois State) comes to the plate in the top of the second hitting an RBI single making it 3-1 Loggers. Top of the fourth Kurtis Brown (Richmond) walks and then advances to second off an error and scores after a wild pitch cutting the Loggers lead to 3-2.

McCoy gets an RBI base hit in the bottom of the fourth to increase the Loggers lead to 4-2. Bottom of the sixth Brandon Parr (Madison College) comes into pitch for the Chinooks and would hold the Loggers scoreless over two innings for the rest of the night with two strike outs. The Chinooks cannot come back and fall to the Loggers 4-2 extending the Loggers win streak to 7 games. Gage Canning (Arizona State) lead the Chinooks offensivley going 2-4 at the plate with two stolen bases.

The Lakeshore Chinooks return home Thursday night to take on the Rivets at 6:35 pm in a two game series.
