Grafton, WI – The Lakeshore Chinooks have added three more pitchers for the start of the 2018 season. Trent Johnson (Tulane), Nate Odahl (Carthage), and Alex Stevenson (Eastern Illinois) will take on the tough hitters of the Northwoods League this summer.

Trent Johnson of Tulane has done it before as he pitched in 2017 for the Battle Creek Bombers where he posted a solid 1.48 ERA in 30.1 innings with 36 strikeouts and was selected for the NWL All-Star Game. The burly right-hander from Metamora, IL has settled in at Tulane after a season at John A. Logan College and his initial school, the University of Arizona. This season, Johnson is 2-2 in 16 appearances for the Green Wave with 20 strikeouts against ten walks.

Nate Odahl has taken the long route to Lakeshore and will join the club after his red-shirt freshman season at Carthage College. After a high school career at Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul, MN where he played alongside former Chinook Cole Gnetz, Odahl began his career on the west coast at Gonzaga. The Los Angeles native transferred to Carthage with hopes of playing in the Northwoods League. At Carthage, the right-hander, has posted a 7-1 record in 8 starts for the 27-8 Red Men, striking out 37 and posting an ERA of 2.96.

Alex Stevenson continues the long line of EIU Panthers to play for the Chinooks at Lakeshore. A two-way player who may play outfield for the club in the early weeks of the season, Stevenson has already notched over 100 innings on the mound in his first two seasons at Eastern. A native of St. Louis, MO, Stevenson has struck out 37 in his eleven starts, with an ERA of 6.58. As a hitter, the right-hander has hit .227 in 14 games.
