Madison, WI – Pitching outdid the hitting in the 2018 edition of the Northwoods League Major League Dreams Showcase last night at Warner Park in Madison, home of the Madison Mallards. The second game of the evening saw representatives from the ten South Division franchises square off. The home team squad consisted of Lakeshore, who was paired with the Madison Mallards, Kenosha Kingfish, Wisconsin Rapid Rafters, and the Wisconsin Woodchucks. The home squad would go on to defeat the other South Division franchises 4-1. The event was attended by more than 50 MLB scouts.

The Chinooks were represented by five players: Austin Jones, Brandon Komar, Jack Dunn, Dallas Beaver, and Christan Boulware. With the theme of the night being pitching, Jones and Komar both did their part in keeping with the theme. Austin Jones pitched a scoreless inning while Brandon Komar went two strong innings striking out two.

Just like the All-Star Game, Jack Dunn played the entire Major League Dreams Showcase. He went 1-5 with an RBI which came in the 6th inning. Christian Boulware ended his night going 1-2 with an RBI which also came in the 6th inning. Dallas Beaver had one plate appearance going 0-1.

The Chinooks head on the road today for their final road game of the 2018 season when they take on the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders who are on the verge of clinching their first ever playoff berth.
