Grafton, WI – The Lakeshore Chinooks will rely heavily on talented players from the Big Ten Conference in 2019 with the additions of Cole Barr (Indiana), Easton Bertrand (Minnesota), and David Dunn and Mike Trautwein (Northwestern). The talented quartet of players will head to Mequon after their seasons finish and academic semester wrap up.

Cole Barr – Indiana

Cole Barr (IF/SO) is having a breakout season for the Hoosiers after a freshman campaign in which he hit .318 in 22 games playing at second and third base. Rated as the second-best high school shortstop in Indiana, the Yorktown High School product has been a mainstay in the Indiana lineup this season.  Playing mostly at third, Barr has bashed eleven home runs and knocked in 30 RBI through his first 36 games. With a slugging percentage of .614, Barr will add punch to the Lakeshore line-up.

Easton Bertrand – Minnesota

Easton Bertrand (OF/SO) saw limited time as a freshman in 2017 after being rated as the 26th best high school prospect out of Illinois. The Manteno, IL product earned his way into a everyday spot in the Gopher outfield this year with five home runs, 15 RBI, and a .244 batting average in 31 games thus far.

David Dunn – Northwestern

David Dunn (OF/SO) plays with the same passion and energy as his older brother and two-year Chinook, Jack Dunn. The two brothers have led the way at the top of the Northwestern line-up this year after David’s injury-shortened freshman season in which he hit .324 with three triples in the team’s first ten games.  This season, Dunn has hit .328 in 31 games with a .424 slugging percentage and on-base average of .391 and has seven stolen bases in seven attempts.

Mike Trautwein – Northwestern

Mike Trautwein (C/FR) will join his NU teammate after a freshman season as the Wildcat’s everyday catcher.  A member of a MLB-playing family, Trautwein signed with Northwestern out of Johns Creek, GA.  In twenty starts this season, Trautwein has hit .258 and has been solid behind the plate with a fielding percentage of .992 with only one error, while throwing out better than 40% of runners attempting to steal.
