Grafton, WI – The Lakeshore Chinooks are excited to announce the hiring of Sam Weninger to the team’s front office staff. He will assume the role of Assistant Operations & Sales Manager.

Chinooks Assistant GM, Eric Snodgrass had the following to say about the hiring of Weninger: “Sam is the perfect example and story of someone making the most of their opportunities in the sports business world right out off school. He came to us last January as an intern, worked hard day in and day out and then received an offer to stay with us seasonal in a paid role for the 2019 season. Sam continued to prove he would be a valuable asset to the team which led to our organization bringing him onboard this fall full time.”

Weninger started out as a Sales and Marketing intern in January of 2019 before becoming a sales associate for the 2019 season.

In his new role, Sam will oversee the team’s reading program and community related programs. Sam will also assist with the day to day operations in the team’s ticket operations and sales, operations including stadium operations, plus concessions and hospitality.

He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse with a degree in Recreation Management and is currently working towards his masters degree in Sports Administration. Born and raised in West Bend, Sam still resides there.

The Lakeshore Chinooks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
